Hansa Forever!

As some of you might know, my girlfriends’s family is involved in the F.C. Hansa Rostock football club, therefore, while visiting her family this weekend, I did get the chance to go to the DKB Arena to watch the Hansa – Duisburg Game of tonight counting for the 2.Bundesliga…

I don’t know how, but unlike P.S.G. (whenever I was in VIP area, those idiots were loosing!!!), it’s the second time that I see Hansa winning by a decent goal difference (3-1 this time and 5-1 last time) and I got to say that despite the poor attendance (10,5k of the 30k seats available) it’s alvays a good experience to see Hansa winning and their fans shouting and screaming like it was a world cup final!

I just got interviewed this afternoon by the RTBF for our effort to launch a Vie de Merde like website!

It was an interesting experience, I just hope I didn’t say too much crap … ‘Cause it’s going to be broadcasted tomorrow morning on Vivacité (I don’t know when though!)

Museum Night Brussels ‘10

I had the chance to get tickets for the museum night in brussels this week end.

Really nice things going on in the center of the city with a huge animation in the Bozar museum.

Got two tickets to watch the Davis cup game between Belgium and Czech republic in Bree. Even though Belgium lost big time, I really enjoyed seeing a tennis game after such a long time. I guess I will try to get tickets for Rolland garos this year…. =)

Google Buzz!

Guess what I found today on my Gmail account?!
Google just added a really neat app to all gmail account users: Google buzz. I guess it’s supposed to be their next facebook / twitter killer app.
Even though the coding and the design is well implemented, I’m affraid that this little baby is going to be the next google wave (even though I was amongst the people begging for an invite, I didn’t use it after a day of beta testing…)! Let’s face it, I don’t think that anybody’s going to replace open networks such as twitter and facebook over night, not even Google Almighty!

Here are a few pictures from Objectif Com that I attended yesterday.

Organised by J’ai besoin de COM.com and Innovatech, the conferences were pretty good, around 800 delegates showed up which is not that bad for a first edition.

Knowing the economical context, especially for SMEs and Start-ups, I got to say that I was quite surprised to see so many people gathering at the Hotel / chateau du Lac in Genval and quite happy to meet again with Sébastien and Cédric from Vitam whom I worked with a few years ago. I got to say that I always liked the way they did business and I’m glad to hear that they are doing great! Somehow it reassures me with my own projects: there’s a way to be honest, friendly, to do a quality job and to survive in this industry!

I want to apologise for not posting since last week, but, as you might know, I’m freshly and voluntarily unemployed since the 1st of January.

In fact, this “break” is supposed to help me to set up a new company. The lack of posting is more due to a lot of meetings with banks, business angels and other contacts to help me build a financially sound structure, than anything else.

Since I’m guessing that nobody wants to hear about how nice the guys at Brusoc are and how helpful can ING be, you’ll have to deal with my silence!

…Unless, of course, if anybody wants to know what are the interest rates, I’m your guy then =)

Leaving party with Tagora

Thursday was my leaving party with Tagora, a few people joined me in a long night around the city center with two “pit stops” at my two “favorite places to get pissed in Brussels”: the “Bison” (for its nice selection of jenever) and the Floris (for its nice collection of absynth).
For the happy few that managed to make it until there, we ended the night with Champagne and mojito (Thanks Alain!) at the Café Bonnefooi and it’s electro party with some nice minimal mixes!

I just wanted to thank the people that were there for the nice time I had and hope to see them soon!
